South Lakeland Wild Animal Park is the only Zoo in Britain to have Amur and Sumatran Tigers. Come and listen to one of the many talks given in the park on the tigers, monkeys, giraffes, lemurs, vultures and many more. The Australian area is a place where lemurs. deer, emus, wallabies, kangaroos and parrots are free to move amongst the visitors.

The Aquarium of the Lakes
The Aquarium of the Lakes is an awarding-winning freshwater aquarium and great family holiday activity to enjoy while staying at your holiday lodge. You can discover the life of the creatures living in and around the waters. A mountain-top waterfall begins your visit to the Aquarium of the Lakes, leading to over 30 displays including freshwater fish, otters, ducks, sharks and rays.

The World of Beatrix Potter

Lakeland Miniature Village
This miniature village gives you over 100 buildings, farms, houses and farms built from local Coniston slate and all hand-crafted by Edward Robinson. This miniature world creates a fascinating insight into the Lake District landscape and buildings of the past. Lake District Visitor Centre at Brockhole

Low Sizergh Barn Low

Ruskin Museum
There has been a Ruskin Museum in Coniston since 1901. The museum has a Ruskin collection, they also have coppermines, slate, geology, lace, farming and Donald Campbell exhibitions. This is an interesting and educational stop on your holiday in the Lake District.
